ACT Scores Appear to have Stagnated
High School students haven’t shown much improvement in their ACT scores during the past 4 year period, according to the administrator of the ACT college entrance exam.
The group says approximately only 40% of graduating high school students who took the ACT exam this year show a “strong readiness” for college in most subject areas. 31% of students who took the test aren’t meeting readiness levels in any core subject areas.
What can Counselors do to help? Students who take the ACT should be encouraged to sign up with one of the many test prep companies that can dramatically prepare them to take the test and increase their scores. Most students can benefit from working with these companies for both the SAT and ACT tests. Method Test Prep, Kaplan and Princeton Review are just a few of the top companies that can help your students prepare and increase their scores.
