The Chronicle of Higher Education recently published a data chart for more than 3,000 Colleges & Universities which includes:

Institutions Name

State

Room & Board

In-State Tuition

In-State Total

Out-of-State Tuition

Out-of-State Total

The data is for the current year but they actually have historical data that you can access for your students going back to the 1998-1999 years. The data comes from a survey conducted by the College Board, “Annual Survey of Colleges 2016”.
